About Us

Gordanier Ranch

Our Story

Gordanier Ranch began back in 1976 when a determined 17-year-old, Drew Gordanier, bought his very first milk cow. Even at that young age, Drew knew he wanted to be a cattleman. With hard work, dedication, and a true love for the land, he grew that small start into the thriving ranch we are proud of today.

Our ranch is nestled near the base of Ute Mountain in beautiful Southwest Colorado, with two locations that allow us to care for our herd year-round. We are a family-run cow-calf operation, raising Angus-cross cattle and a few Wagyu/Angus. In the winter, our cattle head south to New Mexico, where conditions are milder, and in the summer, they graze on the lush, green pastures of the high country outside Dolores, Colorado.

Gordanier Ranch has always been about family. Drew's wife, Stephanie, works alongside him, and Drews youngest son, Jake, with his wife, and their four kids, all play a big part in the ranch's success. Together, we're nurturing the next generation—teaching them the ropes, instilling values of hard work and respect for the land, and hoping they'll continue this fulfilling rural tradition for years to come.

At Gordanier Ranch, we believe that raising cattle is more than just a livelihood—it's a way of life, one rooted in family, stewardship, and a deep connection to the land.
